Teach your class about the taiga with our paper model!
The taiga (or boreal forest) is the largest land biome on Earth! It is a huge area of conifer forest in the northern hemisphere just beneath the tundra. It is home to many iconic animals such as the moose (elk), wolverine, lynx, brown bear and wolf.
It is a harsh environment of snow, ice and darkness for much of the year. Our model shows how animals and plants are adapted to survive here, their interactions and how they depend upon one another for survival.

First, your students make their model using the colourful parts. Then, they use it to look at how organisms are adapted to survive in the taiga.
