Our heart's produce electrical pulses that can be detected with an electrocardiograph. These pulses stimulate the heart to pump blood around our body.
Our interactive model teaches students the structure of the heart. They first make the model out of the colourful parts. It then covers where the heart's electrical signals are produced - the sinoatrial (SA) and atrioventricular (AV) nodes.
Students will next learn the waves on an electrocardiogram (P, Q, R, S and T), what they detect and how they are obtained from a patient.
