Explain acids, bases and pH with our interactive model!

Acids and bases are found everywhere from the vinegar on your chips to the baking powder to make your cakes! Explain what acids and bases are, teach their structure, how they react to neutralise each other and the pH scale. We will also look at the difference between strong acids and weak acids.

Buy once, print forever!

Perfect for use in class or for distance learning at home!

Your students first build their easy to make paper models of atoms and electrons. They use these to form acid and base molecules by sharing electrons between the atoms. The differently coloured electrons make it easy to see how the bonds are formed.

They then use these models to look at how acids dissociate to make hydrogen ions and bases to make hydroxide ions.

Includes full colour Powerpoint class presentation!

Takes about 30 minutes! Model atom diameter 5cm/2in

Download includes: instructions, model templates and Powerpoint presentation.

All you need: paper, scissors and tape.
