Learn all about amino acids by playing cards!
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. There are 20 naturally occurring amino acids.
With this deck of cards students will learn the names, three-letter and single-letter codes for amino acids. They will also learn to recognise their structures and R-group properties.

First, your students make the deck of cards.
Then they play Cheat, a game where words are spelled out using amino acid single-letter codes, but opponents only see structures. They have to work out if the words are spelled correctly or if they are playing against a cheater!
