With this model your students will make their own colourful molecular models so they can work through the transformation of pyruvate to acetyl coenzyme A through the link reaction as though they are the enzymes themselves! They will then progress onto the Krebs (or citric acid) cycle and dance through the 8 steps that capture as much energy as possible from acetyl coenzyme A using NAD and FAD. You can use the model to show some or even all of the steps.
