Show how leaves combine form and function with our 3D model

Teach how leaves are adapted to carry out gas exchange and transpiration with our colourful model. Leaves are beautifully adapted for photosynthesis and are able to obtain the sunlight and carbon dioxide they need and maintain a supply of water through transpiration.

First your students make the specialised plant cells out of the colourful parts. Then they join them together to make the internal structure of a leaf. They look at epidermis, palisade mesophyll, spongy mesophyll, air spaces and stomata.

Buy once, print forever!

Perfect for use in class or for distance learning at home!

They can then follow how water moves through a leaf during transpiration and look at the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide during photosynthesis. The guard cells even open and close the stomata!

Includes full colour Powerpoint class presentation!

Takes about 30 minutes. Dimensions: 26cm x 16cm/10in x 6in.

Download includes: instructions, templates, and Powerpoint presentation.

All you need: paper, scissors and tape.
