NASA probe to smash into asteroid!

NASA's Dart probe will smash into an asteroid to see if its orbit can be altered (BBC News story). This is a test to see if we can use such an approach to divert a dangerous asteroid such as helped to kill off the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
