Show how ammonia is made with our paper model!

The Haber process is very important as it produces ammonia for fertilisers that are used in farming. It combines nitrogen and hydrogen gases at high temperature and high pressure in a reaction vessel. Show how this happens with our colourful model.

Buy once, print forever!

Perfect for use in class or for distance learning at home!

Your students first make their Haber vessel models out of the colourful parts. They then use these to see how nitrogen and hydrogen are reacted together in the presence of an iron catalyst to make ammonia. They move paper molecules through the reaction vessel and collect ammonia from a condenser. Unused gases are recycled.

The model shows the ratio of gases mixed, role of the catalyst, conditions in the reaction vessel, role of the condenser and different conditions are balanced to get the best yield from the reaction.
